In an effort to both reduce crime and raise awareness, the Golden Police Department provides crime and safety information to members of the community through various programs and events. Programs such as Neighborhood Watch, Citizens’ Police Academies and our Ride Along program inform citizens about the problems in our community and the efforts the police department is making toward reducing or eliminating them. The programs also show how citizen involvement makes a positive impact in the community. Events such as National Night Out bring the community together to celebrate efforts made throughout the year to reduce crime.

The Golden Police Department believes that partnering with the community helps build the relationship needed to reduce crime and keep Golden a safe place to live, work and visit.
