As the south side of the City of Golden developed, a new fire station was needed to provide adequate coverage. In the early 1970s a two bay metal building was added on Ulysses Street to accommodate the south side of the city.
This station houses Engine 2 and the Reserve Engine. Station 2 also has a small office and storage area.
